The choir has had considerable success in Competition, winning the premier national award on three occasions at Ireland's most important meeting, the Cork Choral Festival. Cois Cladaigh also won first prize in the National Chamber Choir section of the Cork Festival in 1993 and in 1994.

The Choir has also won the prize for the best song sung in Irish at the Cork festival and trophies at other National festivals. Cois Cladaigh competed in the International section of the Cork Choral Festival in 1996 - 1998, 2000 and again in 2006.

They have since won the Church Competition in 2004, 2005 and 2006.

In May 2006 Cois Cladaigh also came home with two first and one second place in the Oireachtas in Tralee.
